You're the one (1985 archive version)
by Steven Clotzman

I can't hear a sound coming off the radio,
all those songs, they don't mean a thing to me.
And outside, the streets, they all are empty
like the place in my heart where you used to be.
The room was still and lacking kindness
with the tears running slowly down your face.
And what we did that night with blindness
has taken me from your arms and to disgrace.

And though the rain is on the window and we're both so far behind,
trying hard to forget this restless love.
In the morning I'll awaken with just one thing on my mind,
and you're the one that I'll be thinking of.
You're the one that I'll be thinking of.

Now we were young, that's what you told me
and that time had brought some changes to your heart.
So now I'm sad, and now I'm lonely
and all that's left is just tearing me apart.

And though the rain is on the window and we're both so far behind,
trying hard to forget this restless love.
In the morning I'll awaken with just one thing on my mind,
and you're the one that I'll be thinking of.
You're the one that I'll be thinking of.

Now when the stars fall down from the heavens
and the moon, it fades or perhaps just turns to dust.
Think of me and all this sorrow,
still longing for what once was but has now been lost.
Tonight this world in all its madness
may draw two more lovers unto this fate
or maybe what we started they might finish,
albeit far from us and much too late.

And though the rain is on the window and we're both so far behind,
trying hard to forget this restless love.
In the morning I'll awaken with just one thing on my mind,
and you're the one that I'll be thinking of.
You're the one that I'll be thinking of
