Tonight, I'll be drinking alone
by Steven Clotzman

There’s a two-bit story that everyone’s heard
A woman comes and goes without even a word
And the guy in between, he’s left holding his own
Well, tonight I'll be drinking alone

My mind’s running wild but I wouldn’t call it free
And the doctors can’t do a damn thing for me
They say the explanation’s simple but the cure is unknown
So, tonight I’ll be drinking alone

You’re lost, I’m found
So why am I feeling so blue?
You shouldn’t toss around
Words like “Honey, I’m in love you”

Hey you behind the bar, won’t you look over here?
There’s man in dire need of another cold beer
This place might be crowded with no room to roam
But tonight I’ll be drinking alone

If you’re lost and I’m found
Why am I feeling so blue?
You shouldn’t toss around
Words like “Baby, I’m in love you”

You said life’s full of surprises, now I know what you meant
You’ve given up our life together and it’s not even Lent
Well, you can take it or leave it, but it’s all that I know
So, tonight I’ll be drinking alone
