Love is a diamond
by Steven Clotzman

Love is a diamond, love is a rose
I got some seeds and a lump of coal
I take my worries and eat them with the crow
‘Cause love is diamond, don’t you know?

Why am I so prone to playing all your games?
I’ve traveled different paths but nothing seems to change
This careless mishap makes us a perfect pair
And love is diamond is only fair

My Love is a paddle as I move up creek
Your love is the silence that brings me to my knees
‘Cause all you believe in is just a world of things
Where love is a diamond in the spring

There are no answers to questions still unknown
You say it’s simple, just throw the dog a bone
You’ve got the future planned down to each detail
So if love is a diamond then I’ve failed.

Love is an ocean where it meets the pier
A strange emotion that keeps me standing here

Love is the mystery when strangers meet
A night on the town and a meal you won’t eat
You want a sacrifice, a little blood and fear
‘Cause love is diamond and a tear

Climbing up that pedestal only brings me down
Maybe it will make more sense once I’ve hit the ground

Love is a diamond, love is a rose
I got some seeds and a lump of coal
I take my worries and eat them with the crow
‘Cause love is diamond, don’t you know?

Love is a diamond, love is a rose
I got some seeds and a lump of coal
Love is a diamond, love is a rose
I got some seeds and a lump of coal
