Cry these tears

We’re stumbling around between lost and found
Facing down our greatest fear
You took our prized possession
Now won’t you come and cry these tears?

We misunderstood the things that are good
Now suddenly we’re without all cheer
You tore two hearts to pieces
Now won’t you come and cry these tears?

Cry them over
Each and every night
Look into your four leaf clover
Now, tell me it’ll be alright

Cry them easy
Cry them in his name
The summer heat might turn breezy
But we’re never going to be the same

Our lives are undone since we lost our son
We’ll carry this the rest of our years
But you made the most of our losses
Now won’t you come and cry these tears?

Cry them with a whisper
And every now and then aloud
Cry them for your brothers and sisters
Then tell me how they make you proud

Cry them easy
Cry them in his hallowed name
This summer heat might turn breezy
But it’s never going to be the same

They say the river runs deep where all souls must meet
To be judged but not by jury of their peers
I don’t expect forgiveness
But won’t you come and cry these tears
