All I want to do OR (acoustic version)

It rises out of the blue, an urge so simple and true
That it’s clear I haven’t heard a word you’ve said
But sweetheart you’ve got it all wrong, the jukebox’s playing our song
Has me thinking about a life that I once led
‘Cause though my eyes might wander to the game above the bar
And I’m still partial to those love sick blues
Something’s happen to me, some might call it crazy
But loving you’s now all I want to do

My future’s suddenly bright and I’m growing older in spite
Of these girls getting younger than before
Their clothes are tighter and few so what’s a poor boy to do?
And I know what men believe is mostly lore
You say, “Put another record on, we’ll dance the night away”
Funny, but that’s what I was thinking too
And if I can’t help a quick glance, I always keep in my pants
‘Cause loving you’s now all I want to do

Dunk me in the river, Praise the Lord, I’ve seen the light
But should that mean the life in me is through?
It’s like I’ve gone from man to boy, Oh heavens to Murgatroyd!
Loving you’s now all I want to do

Remember Terry and Al, we once were the best of pals
Well, I just bought ‘em a round ‘cause frankly they looked parched
But when I mentioned you, little bird, Al said “True love is absurd!”
And Terry pointed to Trudy bent over behind the bar
They say everyone’s entitled to their own point of view
But now and then I wonder why that’s true
‘Cause I got voices in my head, they tell me, “Look away instead!”
Loving you’s now all I want to do

You know I wouldn’t change a thing even for a million bucks
‘Cause older won’t be wiser without you
So please don’t you throw a fit, it’s just some habits are hard to quit
I swear loving you’s now all I want to do

Dunk me in the river, Praise the Lord, I’ve seen the light
But should that mean the life in me is through?
It’s like I’ve gone from man to boy, Oh heavens to Murgatroyd!
Loving you’s now all I want to do
